About Team Impact

Hello everyone,

My name is Eseosa Imafidon, and I am from Benin City, Nigeria. I am currently a freshman at the University of Louisville and am so grateful to be here. I came through an organization called Access 2 Success, whose mission is to empower youth and their communities to achieve positive change through educational and athletic programs in Nigeria. I am a benefactor of the program, and I have personally experienced its positive impact on young people in Nigeria.

Growing up in Nigeria, I faced many challenges, including not being able to afford basketball shoes. Despite this, I was passionate about basketball and played in sandals. When I attended an Access to Success camp, I received my first pair of shoes. This experience changed my life and inspired me to give back to my community.

This summer, I plan to return to Nigeria to visit my family, and I want to host a basketball and empowerment camp for my peers and the kids in Nigeria. I want to share my love for basketball and education with them and empower them to achieve their dreams. Every child deserves the opportunity to learn and grow, and I want to make this a reality for the kids in Nigeria.

However, I cannot do this alone. I need your help to make this camp a reality. I am collecting new or gently used athletic shoes to run the camp effectively. I am also seeking donations to help cover shipping the shoes to Nigeria. Every little bit helps, and your support can make a huge difference in the lives of these kids.

I have grown so much with basketball, education, and in life because of the investment my host families, coaches, and teachers have made in my life here in the United States. I want to give back to the community by empowering kids like me in Nigeria. During the camp, I plan to teach them about basketball and empower them with the value of education while having fun, taking a break from their everyday struggles, and enjoying a day as a kid.

Thank you for considering my request, and I appreciate your help and support. Together, we can make a positive impact on the lives of these kids.

Please email or text me if you have a gently used shoe to donate. You can also click the "donate now" button to assist financially. Thank you for considering my request.
